Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamour and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
Ephesians 4:31-32

Everyone has at some point been misunderstood and mistreated; it’s part of living in a fallen world, and it’s so easy to feel sorry for yourself and become angry after witnessing the injustice of it all.

For perspective, take a look at Jesus. He was perfect, sinless, and yet, was punished in the most ugly way for crimes he didn’t commit. It seemed so wrong, so unfair, but He saw the bigger picture. Jesus looked at us all through great suffering and forgave. Because of this, a fallen world was given hope. It was given opportunity to share His glory.

Imagine, in your own situation, what could happen if you forgive those who have hurt you. We see from Jesus that forgiveness = freedom. Give it a try.
